Answering: “As an American Conservative, what would it take for you to no longer support the Republican Party?”
I’m an American Conservative. A Traditional Conservative, not a Right Winger. I am conservative, I am not radical. Radical is the opposite of conservative.
That said, the GOP left true conservatism long ago, and I have accordingly left the GOP. They no longer represent true conservative values. In fact, they have fallen so far over the edge of the radical right that I can’t imagine they would ever recover in my lifetime.
I recommend you rephrase the question, and ask something like, “As an American Conservative, what would it take for you to support the Republican Party again?”
NOTE: Thanks to Benedikt Wronski for the suggested edit to my recommendation for rephrasing the question.
