Will Indonesia become fully Arabized by 2100?
Arabization means the complete transformation of the whole society into an Arab nation. This means not only the religion would have to be Islam, but the culture must be Arabian as well and the language to be Arabic.
If we take a look at North Africa and the Middle East, there are regions where the process has never become completed. Iran has never been fully Arabized, Morocco has only been partially Arabized, and the Levant, near the heartland of Arabia, has only been partially Arabized.
Therefore it is not likely Indonesia would become fully Arabized by 2100 or in 80 years’ time. What we now see in Indonesia is that there are groups of people who are trying to emulate Arabs, i.e. their culture, religion, and perhaps language. At the same time, there are too many other people who adhere to other beliefs or religions. Secularization also increases in Indonesia.
So in conclusion I would say that it is unlikely Indonesia would become fully Arabized by 2100.
