Bandits leader Bello Turji unconditionally release 52 hostages
The decision by bandits leader Bello Turji to unconditionally release 52 hostages on Monday is a revelation. He didn’t do so because he loves humanity; he only did so because he is under pressure because of the intense bombardments by the Nigerian Air Force and the ground offensive by the army. He has now realized that he cannot dictate peace on his own terms.
The Air Force and the army should intensify the military operations against the bandits. They shouldn’t give them any breathing space to regroup and reorganize. The fact that Turji had to release hostages unconditionally without ransom is a clear sign that they are on the back foot. Let the military operations be sustained with such merciless intensity that bandits will no longer find a hiding place. May our military overcome these enemies of humanity. Amin.
